Past and Present Senate President on Nigeria

On the 9th February, 2010 the Senate President passed a motion that the Vice President should be Acting President in the absence of President Yar’Adua
On the 10th February, 2010, Jonathan Goodluck assumed the office as Acting President
On the 6th May, 2010, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, was sworn in after the death of his predecessor 12 hours after the death of Yar’Adua who died on 5th May, 2010 as president 3min. 58secs. On 15th May, Goodluck Jonathan chose his Vice President in the person of Alh. Namadi Sambo
