And he will head to Stamford Bridge after Conte bid £7m MORE than his buyout clause, report Le Parisien.
It is thought that Kante had a £22m release fee in his contract.
But a second clause stated that Leicester could reject that for a higher offer – and with interest coming in from China, the Blues upped their bid.
Kante will be a world class signing. Fabregas ahead of him, attackers will have a great time. Kante sweeping the ball, Cesc
assisting. #cfc
— Vidit (@CescToCosta) July 13, 2016 Can't really complain I suppose, Kante is better than Mikel but only just
— G (@CharIieColkett) July 13, 2016 Kante also offers a lot more. He has a much bigger brain than Ramires on the pitch. Consistent with his passing and tackling.
— Nawaz. (@BlueNawaz) July 13, 2016 Kante is known to want a move to Chelsea and will agree personal terms this week.
Leicester yesterday offered the midfielder new a £100,000-a-week contract but that is now likely to go unsigned.
