Off course yes. Many explorations have been made to Jupiter. The first close-up image in 1974 was taken by Pioneer 11, in 1974. This studied the atmosphere and detected Jupiter’s magnetic field. Space probe Galileo, launched in 1989, orbited Jupiter. In 2000, the Cassini probe took the best ever photos.

The Galileo was the first space probe to make an entire orbit around Jupiter.
