Yes! African has about five big lakes which are Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Albert, Lake Edward and Lake Kivu which could be found in the Great Rift valley.

Lake Victoria is the first largest lake in Africa which covers about 69, 500 square kilometers (26, 836 square miles) and is the world's second largest Freshwater Lake.
