Student of Poly Ibadan arraigned for stealin bottles of Moes and Hennessy along with N5, 000

A student of Ibadan polytechnic was arraigned for odering bottles of Hennessy, Moet without pay.

He is 26-year-old student by the Ramon Bankole. He resides at No 6, Muyiwa Close, Ogba, Lagos.

It was comfirmed that he allegedly drank wine worth N65,
000 at a club without paying, on Monday at 3:00 a.m. on February 24, at Club Uno, Allen Ave., Ikeja.

The accused stole three bottles of Moet and one bottle of Hennessey drink valued at N65, 000 belonging to the club. He also stole handset and a cash worth N5, 000 from one Miss Olayinka.

He now appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

Bankole is standing trial on two-count charge bothering on
stealing.

Uwadione the Prosecutor said that the offences contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing a phone and cash, but not guilty to the second count of stealing some bottles of wine.

The Magistrate, Miss A.O Akinde, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety.
