The following procedure cn be adopted for converting a given binary integer (whole number) into its equivalent decimal number:

Step 1: Write the binary number i.e all the bits in a row

Step 2: Directly under the bits, write 1, 2, 4, 8, 16..... starting from right to left

Step 3: Cross out the decimal weights which lie under 0 bits.

Stape 4: Add the remaining weights to get the decimal equivalent.

Example: Convert 1100012......  to a decimal number

SOLUTION

STEP 1:  1   1   0   0  1

STEP 2: 16  8   4   2  1

STEP 3: 16  8   4   2  1

STEP 4: 16 + 8 + 1 = 2510

Therefore 110012 = 2510

That was how I was caught with an "expo" in an Exam hall, Students were shouting Chop am, Swallow am, thinking it was a Small paper, Not knowing it was Ababio.
